Creativity Booster
Are you usually consistent with your creative practice, but lately, fear you’ve lost your spark? Are you someone who usually gets up and knows what they want to do, and why? Only, lately, that isn’t happening, and you’re wondering how the last days/weeks/months have gone by and nothing is changing?
Whether you are writing, working on canvas, paper, tablet, any surface you can name, on a stage, with a musical instrument, or up a ladder, it is all about your creativity. If it’s not happening – or happening as fluidly as you would like, we can work on that to get you past the question mark and that proverbial blank page that refuses to be filled. The longer we struggle on, the more panicky, more stressed, and perhaps anxious we become about it, especially if this is your source of income. It all compounds your growing fear. The “Why can’t I do this anymore?” And you’re then wondering, “Have I lost it?”
I speak from personal experience when I say: You haven’t lost it. It’s still there, really it is! I have written creatively for children, young adults, and also adults, for 30 years. My fiction work has been published in two adult book anthologies, and in magazines for school kids in Singapore. I’ve also really enjoyed and completed several NaNoWriMo events (National Novel Writing Month – where one commits to write 50,000 words that month). Some days the words just flow, and other days, there’s nothing. Truly, nothing. For weeks that turned into months. It felt like verbal constipation! But I turned it around, and you can, too.
I offer hypnosis that helps you get clarity about why you’re hitting those creative walls, and to walk straight through them, as if they were merely warm air. I will give you tools to recognise when this feeling is encroaching upon you, and to work with if it ever happens again.
Let’s get you back to your creative best!
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions.
Will this work for me if I’m a tattoo artist or a sculptor?
Hypnosis is a tool so versatile that when we’re working with clients on their creativity, any creative medium can be improved.
What if I can’t be hypnotised? Can you still help my creativity?
Hypnosis is one part of my therapy, and almost everyone can benefit from hypnosis because it involves going into a deep relaxation state focussed on an agreed-upon idea to work on.
How many sessions will it take to get my creativity back?
I need to talk with you to learn more about the specific issues you’re facing, in order to more accurately estimate how many sessions will be required, but four sessions is a good estimate for a programme aimed at unlocking creativity.
